Semester ticket reimbursement

Welcome to the online system for refunding the semester ticket fee of the University of Kassel.


Reason Proof
Internship outside of germany Proof of an internship that is not in germany for more than three months
Illness Proof that you were sick for more than three months
Disability Please upload your disablity pass
Promotion/Graduation Proof of residence outside of germany and proof from the examination office that attendance is no longer compulsory
Exchange semester Proof of exchange semester necessary
Double imatriculation Copy of the Deutschlandticket of the other university
Landesbedienstetenticket Bank statements for the last 3 months, proof of rent for the apartment, certificate of enrollment, proof of housing benefit (if available) and proof of BAfÖG (if available). With child: Birth certificate and certificate of enrollment are sufficient. There is no deadline for social hardship! The application can be submitted retroactively for up to one semester.
Vacation semester Proof of vacation semester
Hardship Bank statements for the last 3 months, proof of rent for the apartment, certificate of enrollment, proof of housing benefit (if available) and proof of BAfÖG (if available). With child: Birth certificate and certificate of enrollment are sufficient.
There is no deadline for social hardship! The application can be submitted retroactively for up to one semester.
Hardship request for previous semester Unfortunately, we can no longer offer semester refunds due to social hardship retroactively for the previous semester until further notice. On September 1, 2025, the application option for social hardship will start for the winter semester 2025-2026, applications for the summer semester 2025 can no longer be accepted from this date. In addition, the next payment for approved social hardship applications will not be possible until October. In this harsh decision, we refer to §2 paragraph 3 of the hardship statutes and ask for your understanding.
